What customers say?

“ Located along National Route 190, there is free parking. There is counter and table seating. I stopped in when I was a little hungry. I was glad that they had half-portion ramen. It had wood ear mushrooms and pork slices. The noodles were thin and made with pork bone broth. There were a variety of toppings available, and they even gave me complimentary mustard greens. I ordered a medium-sized portion of fried rice, which was a generous portion and very satisfying. The gyoza were filling and delicious. They also had set meals such as fried chicken and offal set meals, which looked delicious. ”

“ It tasted like the ramen I used to eat at a food stall with my dad. The Showa Ramen and C Set cost 1,290 yen (I think), and included a small fried rice and three gyoza. First of all, the fried rice was delicious, not too greasy, and easy to eat. The gyoza were average, and the main ramen had a traditional pork bone broth that I couldn't stop eating (though it might be a bit strong for eastern Japanese people). The noodles were thin, and they offered extra noodles (150 yen). I continued eating, convinced that wood ear mushrooms are essential for pork bone ramen. The boiled egg was soft-boiled, with a runny yolk, and the pork was also thick and creamy. I drank the soup in my hand, and thank goodness! The parking lot is shared by multiple restaurants, so it's quite spacious, and it seems like you'll never be unable to get in just because the parking lot is full. ”

“ Yamagoya uses a central kitchen, so the food tastes the same wherever you eat. So unlike Ichikyu, there's no difference in taste between locations; the only differences are whether the restaurant is clean, not crowded, and the manager is friendly. The manager is incredibly friendly, the complete opposite of the soul food ramen shop in Ube City nearby. There's a rumor that that location adopted a prepayment system because customers would get annoyed with the chef and leave. If you're going to eat there, come to Yamagoya! ”

“ Their unique dish, champon, is outstanding!! It contains clams, medium-thick flat noodles, and pork bone broth. ”

“ It wasn't that different from Showa era ramen, but Kotoge ramen was delicious. ”

- ゆきま -

“ I've been going there for almost 10 years. I also had a ramen-loving friend try it, and he said it was delicious!! I feel like the number of customers has been declining recently, so I want to save the place!!! It's really delicious, so I recommend everyone to go!!! ”

“ June 30, 2024 Nice to meet you at Yamakoya! My sons and I had tonkotsu ramen. I was surprised at how quickly the food was served! We all ordered extra noodles, leaving our stomachs and hearts happy. ”

- Hiroaki Yoshino (サイエンスホーム綿半林業福山店 喜野弘晟) -

“ I went at lunchtime, but it was full. The ramen soup was delicious and just the way I like it. I ordered it firm, and it was the perfect firmness, which was very satisfying. Next time I'd like to order the firm ramen. ”
